The Performance Automotive Team will be Celebrating their 25th. year in raceing this year.
It all started in 1980 with Ralph Fryer and Robert Fryer as the owerns. As their business, they sell
raceing parts for race cars. Plus race their Late Model race cars. They have had different drivers such
as Terry Huizel as their first one to drive of their car in 1980. Other drivers have been Bill
McArdle, Craig Jacobs, Tom Hearst, Ryan Dolan, Mark Curwin. Over the years their cars and drivers have been in
the winners circle several times. They have raced their car at several tracks in the midwest. Have had Track
Champion ship car at freeport IL. several times & Lasalle, IL. In the year 2000 they were runner up to
Gary Webb in the points standings at Dubuque, IA. This is True Family race team. Ralph
Fryer which is Bob's father has retired form his regular job over the years and now spends full time working on their
cars. Bob spends his time working on the cars nights after work and weekends. Gena, which is Bob's wife is their
book keeper. Harriet, which is Ralph's wife is at every race, documenting where their
driver is placed in the heat races and where they are placed in the features. Mike Fryer which is Bob's son started
driving in the Sportsmen class in 2001. In 2003 Mike moved up to the Late Model class. This year Mike
will be driving the #5m car at the WDRL races. The #54 car will be the anniversary car which will race at
Freeport.
